Below is how the program works (there is also an FAQ at the bottom of this article):
2. You will be directed to a page explaining some of the key details of the program. Click “I want free prizing” to continue.
3. For your tournaments to be eligible for prizes, there will be community guidelines you need accept.
4. You will now create your tournament. This is required so we can approve your tournament for prizes.
5. You will be asked to personalize your tournament on Battlefy.
6. After your tournament is setup and customized, submit your tournament for prize approval. Battlefy staff will review your tournament application to confirm that it meets the minimum requirements.
7. After submitting your tournament, you can check the Community Prizing approval status by going to tournament settings through the Manage button
…and into the Prizing section.
In the “prizing” section you can continue to review the status of your application, as well an overview of the community guidelines and requirements to be approved for prizes.
8. Organizers will have their own tournament application portal in which they can review the status of each application.
9. Within 7 days after submission, your tournament will be approved or disapproved for Community Prizing. If approved, you can publish your tournament immediately and start promoting it to players.
10. To publish your tournament after it has been approved, return to your tournament settings and go to PUBLISH, where you’ll want to set your tournament to “Published” and “Public”. Setting it to public will allow players to find it via battlefy.com recommendations.
Once it has been approved, you will notice a blue trophy icon which indicates to players that the tournament has been approved for in-game prizes.
11. Upon tournament completion, you must submit winner info through the Prizing section.
12. Fill out the required player information for prizing to be appropriately distributed to your tournament winners. You can submit up to a maximum of 8 player for each winning team. Once you have successfully submitted your tournament’s information, Battlefy will pass the winner information to Critical Force who will then distribute prizes to the players. Prize distribution typically takes 7–14 days from tournament submission to the time players receive their prizes.
