High School StarLeague has been one of Battlefy’s longest running organizers and they have used our platform to build one of the coolest leagues in the world. Today, they announced over $20,000 in scholarships would be available for their players at the end of the season. Offering high school students the chance to compete against other like-minded youth across North America, High School StarLeague has been a perfect example of the opportunities that esports present.

High School StarLeague has connected close to 4000 students in over 750 different schools across 46 states and 8 provinces this past year alone in League of Legends, Dota 2, and Starcraft II. Going above and beyond maintaining their grades, students in the HSL have an average weighted GPA of 4.1. The HSL has also been a great feeder program into the professional realm as alumni of the program have transitioned into careers in esports as players and commentators.

With this new scholarship pool, players will see even more positive results from their drive to compete in organized play.
