Run FIFA 19 tournaments on PS4 and earn cash for you and your players!

Battlefy June 17th 2019

Qualifying FIFA 19 tournaments on PlayStation 4 will reward cash prizing to the top performing players, as well as provide organizers with an opportunity to win cash prizes themselves. Apply today to receive prizing and start working your way up the leaderboards!

What’s at stake?

Organizers

At the end of each tournament, players can rate their experience with the organizer, and those ratings will count towards the organizer’s position on the ratings leaderboard.

The top three rated organizers at the end of each month, will win the following prizes:

  • 1st Place — $1,000 USD
  • 2nd Place — $500 USD
  • 3rd Place — $250 USD

In addition to the organizer rating leaderboard, the organizer who holds the most qualified tournaments in a month will win the following prizes:

  • 1st Place — $1,000 USD
  • 2nd Place — $500 USD
  • 3rd Place — $250 USD

Players

The prizes for each tournament will be determined by the amount of players who check-in before the tournament start time. The more players who are seeded in to a tournament bracket, the bigger the prizes. Here’s a full breakdown of the prizing tiers for players:

In addition to the tournament prizes, Battlefy will also have a leaderboard that tracks the amount of matches a player wins over the course of a single month. The players who earn the most amount of match wins will receive the following prizes:

  • 1st Place — $500 USD
  • 2nd Place — $250 USD
  • 3rd Place — $100 USD

What are the Guidelines for Tournaments to Receive Prizing?

  • The tournament must be competitive and fair with clear winners.
  • The tournament must have clear rules that discourage cheating.
  • The tournament must not include or endorse offensive content or behavior.
  • Rules must be provided in English. If an organizer wants to provide rules in an additional language, they are free to do so, but the English rules will take precedent for any competitive or prize-based rulings.
  • You, as an organizer, must comply with at least one of the following requirements and submit proof of it:
  • At least 15K outreach on any single platform (Livestreaming, VOD media, social media).
  • Have run a tournament before.
  • Your tournament must have at least 16 players checked in and seeded in a bracket in order for players to receive prizes and for the tournament to be counted towards the organizer monthly leaderboards.
  • Prize distribution for both organizers and players will be handled by Battlefy via PayPal. No other distribution methods will be available.
  • Only tournaments for PlayStation 4 will be eligible for community prizing.
  • Organizers may not advertise services in their tournaments. Organizers also may not have additional sponsors supporting these FIFA 19 tournaments. Tournaments promoting these services or displaying outside sponsor services and marks may be rejected.
  • Battlefy reserves final judgment for prize distribution. If, for any reason, Battlefy determines that a tournament was executed in bad faith in any way, prizing for that tournament will not be distributed to the organizer or the participating players. In the unlikely event that scoring and/or leaderboards do not function properly for any reason, Battlefy will take action with respect to prizing that it deems appropriate in its sole discretion, including, for example, electing not to distribute any prizes or to modify prizing rules.

How do I set up my tournament to receive prizes?

  1. Go to Battlefy and create an account. After, click “Organize Tournaments” or go to this URL and select FIFA from the list of game titles

2. You will be directed to a page explaining some of the key details of the program. Click “I want prizing for my tournament”.

3. For your tournaments to be eligible for prizes, there will be community guidelines you need to accept.

4. You will now create your tournament. This is required so we can approve your tournament for prizes.

5. You will be asked to personalize your tournament on Battlefy.

6. After your tournament is set up and customized, submit your tournament for prize approval. Battlefy staff will review your tournament application to confirm that it meets the minimum requirements.

7. You can check on the status of your application via the Organizer Dashboard under the “Community Prizing” section.

9. Within 7 days after submission, your tournament will be approved or rejected for prizing. If approved, you can publish your tournament immediately and start promoting it to players.

10. To publish your tournament after it has been approved, return to the Manage section of your tournament page and go to “Publish”, where you’ll want to set your tournament to “Published” and “Public”. Setting it to public will allow players to find it via Battlefy Recommendations.

Once it has been approved, you will notice a blue trophy icon which indicates to players that the tournament has been approved for prizes.

11. Upon tournament completion, you must go to the Organizers Dashboard and submit your winners’ information. Fill out the required player information for prizing to be appropriately distributed to your tournament winners.

12. Once you have successfully submitted your tournament’s information, Battlefy will handle prize distribution via PayPal. Prize distribution typically takes 7–14 days from the tournament submission to the time players receive their prizes.
