Let’s make this quick!

Before today, Dota 2 tournament organizers had no way of knowing whether players were playing on multiple team rosters in the same tournament. This was a problem.

To solve this, we’ve implemented a Steam ID validation feature for team captains and their entire roster. Before team captains assemble their team, they’ll be required to link their Steam account to be validated. Take a look…

Simple, right?

Other players on the roster will also be required to validate their Steam ID before the team can compete in the tournament. If one (or more) player on the team is already on another roster, the team captain will be required to invite other players.
