As Hearthstone Fireside gatherings grow in popularity and players find local tournaments to play in, we wanted to help make that experience as easy as possible for organizers. Following in the footsteps of games like Magic and Pokémon, the most popular format for these local tournaments is Swiss — a competitive way of letting everyone have multiple matches while still determining a winner. However, Swiss tournaments without the right software can be a nightmare to run, so we took a quick look at how to fix that!
We’ve always prided ourselves on having the best Swiss system available on Battlefy. Now, with some small tweaks we’ve made it even better for local events. Match numbers will each start counting again from 1 every round. With this update, organizers can use static table numbers in the venue and players will instantly be able to physically find their opponent and sit across from one another to start the match.
We make it very easy to scale as your tournaments grow. Players can report the score on their own and even include what classes were used. If you want to restrict score reporting to just your staff, we help you scale up like that too! Take advantage of our staffing and organizations options to assign bracket managers and they’ll be able to take care of score reporting at any size of LAN using their phone or tablet!
We’re excited to see all the awesome events happening at Fireside Gatherings around the world and look forward to assisting Innkeepers even more in the future!
