Brackets are the backbone of any tournament. It’s where you go to see who needs to play who. It’s where you go to get an idea of how long the tournament is taking. It’s just where you go. One issue we’ve all become familiar with is that as a tournament gets larger and larger, it becomes painful to navigate brackets — especially in later rounds. This is aside from the exponentially longer load times as you started getting more and more players. For a platform that hosts some of the largest online qualifiers in the world, this was becoming a problem we just had to solve.
Today we’re proud to present our brand new bracket engine for single and double elimination tournaments. The first thing you’ll notice is that they load in a fraction of the time they used to even with monster brackets. Once they load, you’ll be able to use your mouse and keyboard to fly through the bracket.
The new Zoom functionality lets you get a bird’s eye view of the bracket with ease and then zero in on the spot you have your cursor pointed at. Highlighting any participant’s name on the bracket will also give you a good look at what path they took to get there. If you have trouble finding someone in particular, use our handy search bar and you’ll find a list of every match they’re involved in!
Search results appear in our new side panel. The side panel also hosts match details like stats in our League of Legends tournaments. Soon, we’re looking forward to putting more relevant details in that space so that you can discover the most important information about the match with ease.
